Join us to celebrate the launch of Andrea Levy’s Novels, a groundbreaking new study of one of the most significant writers of recent times. From her early works of autofiction to the sweeping, post-war narrative of Small Island, and the defiant voices of the enslaved in The Long Song, Levy reshaped the landscape of contemporary British literature. In this pioneering new study, leading Levy expert Dr Michael Perfect explores her extraordinary body of work, and reveals fascinating discoveries from her archive. In addition to an exclusive reading by the author, the evening will feature a panel discussion of Levy’s impact, with special guests journalist and author, Gary Younge, and Levy's widower, Bill Mayblin. There will also be an audience Q&A, drinks and a book signing.
