Entire neighbourhoods flattened. Israel’s genocide in Gaza could have been prevented, but many governments across the globe chose to turn a blind eye, become complicit or even participate in the onslaught. In this talk, Neve Gordon discusses the work of The Gaza Tribunal, which was set up to uncover Britain’s complicity in the defining crime of our age. Bringing together original testimony from Palestinian survivors, journalists, human rights campaigners, legal experts and whistle-blowers, Gordon describes the work of this groundbreaking inquiry, the evidence it revealed, and the significance of an urgent call for accountability. THE SPEAKER Neve Gordon is a professor in the school of law at Queen Mary University of London and is a Fellow of the British Academy of Social Sciences. He is the author of Israel’s Occupation and co-author of The Human Right to Dominate (2015), Human Shields: A History of People in the Line of Fire (2020) reprinted with a new preface and epilogue about Gaza (2026) and The Gaza Tribunal: Britain’s Complicity in Genocide (2026).
