WCLC: PG Prize Winners’ concert with Twee Dang and Xian Wu

Vietnamese pianist Twee Dang is an internationally active performer whose musical language reflects a rich dialogue between cultures. Xian Wu is a Chinese pianist based in Manchester, currently undertaking a PhD in Music. Both have recently completed the Master’s in Music (Performance Studies) degree at UoM, where they were awarded the Recital Prize. In this concert they present a selection of solos and duets by Antonin Dvo?ák, Carlos Gustavino, Elena Kats-Chernin, Franz Liszt, D?ng H?u Phúc, Camille Saen-Saëns, and the first performance of a new work by Sadie Harrison. The Thursday lunchtime concerts are part of the Walter Carroll Lunchtime Concert Series, which is supported by the Ida Carroll Trust. They provide a wide-ranging programme to suit all tastes and are an ideal opportunity to enjoy great music performed by outstanding musicians. No booking required – the concerts are free to attend and seats are unreserved. Just turn up on the day!
